The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, and practice-oriented contributions that advance the system of thought and knowledge of a culture, and its media landscapes and industries. Iqra Journal of Media Sciences (IJMS) is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed academic publication dedicated to advancing research in the rapidly evolving fields of media and communications. The journal provides a scholarly platform for critical inquiry, theoretical exploration, and empirical investigation into diverse media forms and practices, without limiting research to film, television, advertising, animation, game design, translation, artificial intelligence, digital, visual, aural communication and culture, monetization, and market-driven techniques and technologies. It encourages inter-intra-and-transdisciplinary approaches, connecting media and societies with knowledge equity, technology, economy, sociocultural dimensions, geopolitics, and other areas of interest for humanity, especially Pakistan, and the Global South. We appreciate contextuality, intraculturalism, transdisciplinarity, and dialecticism.
